What’s going on here? What happened to the all Flash awesome WackedUSA.com I came to know an love!?

The answer to that is that I’m in the process of learning how to use wordpress. I need to integrate it into 2 other sites (1st Digital and the TWB) I’m updating in the future. Both those sites, as well as this one, will be full Flash sites, but with HTML content. Why HTML content, you ask? Well, for 3 reasons:

1. SEO - All 3 of my sites had only 1 page listed in Google and the only thing it listed was “You need to have flash to see this”
2. Easily Updated Content – can you say Content Management System? I had these sites pulling XML files and while they were dynamic, why reinvent the wheel when WordPress is a really quite nice and customizable CMS. Plus, I can have OTHER people add/edit content as well. From a web-based editor. Very nice. (Plus, I needed somewhere to push my gReader’s shared items.)
3. My Own Personal Edification – I’ve been slacking on the nerd learning. I need to re-up my geek points. This seems a good way to learn some new stuff.

I will be adding pages, like my protfolio and various flash pieces. In fact there’s a couple of sites hidden somewhere in this labyrinthine directory structure. I’ll be adding those pages as I get to them. Plus, there’s various RSS and gaming site feeds that I’d like to learn to pull as well.

But the first step is to get the HTML version of the blog up, and operational as best as I can get it BEFORE I get into pulling all this into flash and adjusting layers and css and themes and whatnot.
